TINTAGEL AFC HOLD PLYMOUTH ARGYLE YOUTH TRAINING DAYS.
The staff of
Plymouth Argyle Football in the community praised Jane Burnard,
Football Club secretary, after organising, at short notice, a two-day
training course for the
young footballers in the area. The event was held on 4th and 5th
The following is an extract from 'The Pilgrim' the match day
programme of Plymouth Argyle from
the match on Saturday 21st August 2004. "Our second new venue was to
Tintagel. The two-day
course was hastily arranged a week or so ago and the fact that nearly
50 children attended was
due to the hard work and organisation of club secretary Jane Burnard.
We were again blessed
with superb weather. Our normal format for courses ensured, i.e.
skill and technique work in the
morning, followed by small-sided games on a world cup theme in the
afternoon - with the
emphasis always being on the fun and more fun." Written by Alec
Brenton, Head Coach,
football in the community.
Club officials of Tintagel AFC; wish to express their gratitude to
Jane Burnard for all
her hard work.
At the Bodmin Trophies Duchy League AGM on Tuesday 21st June Tintagel
reserves won the
Division Five sporting team award.
Well done to all the players and in particular their manager Brian (Jock)
Anderson for achieving this
