TINTAGEL - KING ARTHUR COUNTRY

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
Tintagel Royal British Legion Statement
What is the Poppy Appeal; It is the Legions main money raising event for it's welfare fund. The money raised is used to supply help for ex-service men & their families i.e. electric wheelchairs, stairlifts, the running of Retirement homes and many other things. In the present political climate and the talk of war, it could well be that the Legion will be called upon for help in the future in event of any troubles.
It is important that the Poppy Appeal is well supported each year.

11.11.11.

What does 11.11.11. mean. It is the time, day, and month that the 1st World War ended. A few years ago it was decided to revive the two minutes SILENCE as a national tribute to those in the forces who lost their lives in conflict over the years.
                                                                                                                           John Stratton
